Websites for Students/Parents
Parents who are asking for homework. Please note, homework is only assigned when students are not completing their daily work. If you would like your child to have more homework here are some suggestions:
1. See below for some links
2. Have your son/daughter use the math supplementary book supplied at the beginning of the year. In March we will be moving on to Multiplication, Division, Fraction and Decimals
3. Have them keep a journal. We have been focussing on how to summarize what we are reading and applying it to our reading responses. Have them follow the format we have been working towards (APE) Answer the question, Prove it using the text to hep them, Explain using juice details and justify why they believe this helps them to support their answer. Make connections to their answer with real life examples (text to self); or connect with another book they are presently reading (text to text).
4. Have them bring home what they are working on or at least set aside some time to talk to your child about what they are presently learning. The more they communicate what they are learning about the stronger their language skills will become)
